Annual events support local families, students, and community programs in Borrego Springs.

The pageant is the first big event in the Miss Borrego Springs program each season. It is not a beauty pageant; it is about young ladies who are willing to donate their time and energy to represent the Borrego Springs community at a variety of civic and business events throughout the year. Rotary Foundation scholarships and mentoring by Sylvana Meeks ensure that virtually every Miss Borrego Springs and members of the Court go on to higher education.

Since 2011, the Borrego Springs Rotary Club has proudly hosted the annual Christmas Toy Giveaway – a heartwarming tradition rooted in compassion and community spirit. Last Christmas our Rotary Club spent $6,850 to uplift spirits, reminding us all of the power of selfless giving.  We distributed 300 toys on December 14th, 2025.  We had a $3,000 matching grant for toys.  So far this year we do not have a matching grant. We purchase toys that cost about $15 for small children up to $30 for high school age children. Please consider donating to help us purchase toys.

Once each year in February the greater Rotary family gathers for a critical fundraiser charged with the objective of raising monies to sponsor the ever-widening endeavors of Rotary members to enrich the Borrego Springs community. Last February our fundraiser. Last February our fundraiser was a Mardi Gras party. It was a fun party for 110 of our supporters who donated generously. Many supporters took home nice prizes from our raffle and silent auction. Since so many supporters bid in our live auction, we expect to fund almost 30 scholarships and about 10-12 community grants this year.


Next year our fundraiser will be Saturday, February 6, 2027. Please hold the date on your calendar. By this Fall our committee will have planned the location, theme, menu and other details of the party. Like this year’s party, we intend it to be the most fun fundraiser of the season.
